How many times will the district run levy

| April 14, 2011 7:26 AM

Will the school administration answer these questions for tax payers of the county?

How many times will you put the county to the expense of a vote on the same levy amount before you listen to the answer?  We tax payers pay for the elections also.

How many times did you run the vote for the new high school before it passed?

On the $100,000 valuation example you use for the maintenance and operation levy, I’m already paying $99.48 for the high school.  Now you say the new levy will only add $81 to that.  So I pay $180.48 yearly for schools if I live in own and only have a $100,000 house.  Farmers with land they make a living on are paying much more than that.

Can you tell taxpayers what the superintendent’s monthly salary is? I’ve heard varying amounts which I doubt can be true.

I don’t know about other taxpayers, but I do not respond well to threats.  Maybe the district should wait until the new superintendent is here to run the election.
