Disruption at concert not appreciated

I was having a great time at the Gatlin Brothers concert.

Near the end, they asked members of the armed forces and military veterans to stand and be recognized. I stood up with several other of my military brethren and felt proud to be among those who gave a part of their lives defending our great nation.

I was not in a position to see exactly what happened but the Gatlin brothers evidently encountered a problem with a group of youth demonstrating against the U.S. military.

Don’t look now, folks, but your Spock marks are showing.  Raising children according to Dr. Spock instead of the Bible has destroyed our country’s youth.

The Bible says, “He who spares the rod hates his son but he who loves him is careful to discipline.” (Proverbs 13:24).

Dr. Spock says if we discipline our children, we will break their spirit.

Who do you think is correct Dr. Spock or the Bible? 

If you say Dr. Spock, don’t even pretend to be a Christian.  The liberal Dr. Spock youth have no respect for any authority, even those who protect their right to demonstrate.

I love my grandchildren but I have even more love and respect for the U.S. military. 

Tell the next serviceman or woman that you are proud of them.
