After 11 years of service Pam Copeland has resigned from the Boundary County Fair Board.

Copeland, who is the lead secretary at Valley View Elementary, said she feels she has more to offer in different areas.

“When I started with the fair board my kids were in 4-H and I enjoy working with kids so much,” said Copeland. “I will still be a part of the fair as I have always loved it, I just don’t have the same passion as I did when I started. I feel it is time to let someone with that passion take the position, it is time for me to move on and do other things.”

Copeland said she would like to be on the board of Boundary County Parks and Recreation as she enjoys working with the youth of the community.

The board is looking for a qualified candidate who can attend monthly meetings that are held the first Monday of each month.

Before the fair or during a work project this person may need to hold a workday with the board.

The Boundary County Fair Board is responsible for putting together the county fair and maintaining the fairground facilities. This position is one of 7 positions that require the ability to work with people effectively.

n The fair board is looking to fill the position as soon as possible.  Letter of intent can be submitted to:  Boundary County Fair Board, PO Box 3098, Bonners Ferry, ID  83805.

All candidates will be contacted by the fair administrator and asked to attend the next regularly scheduled meeting.
