Drivers traveling to and from Canada through the port of entry at Eastport, can expect delays as repair work begins Monday, July 11 on the Moyie River bridges, the Idaho Transportation Department announced.
Crews will work 16 hour days, five days a week until mid-August. No work will be done on weekends.
Traffic will be reduced to one lane during construction. The speed limit has been reduced to 45 mph, except at the border, where the speed limit is 25 mph.
Flaggers will guide traffic through the work zone.
Repair work includes a new bridge deck overlay and waterproofing the bridge parapets to help prolong the life of the bridges.
Braun-Jensen Construction, of Payette, is the contractor for this $162,000 project.
