Bonners Ferry Chamber has a deal for new members

| July 21, 2011 8:06 AM

The Bonners Ferry Chamber of Commerce is offering area businesses mid-year specials to new members interested in investing in the benefits of membership and offering half-off discounts to become members for the rest of the year.

That's $67.50 for real estate, grocery store, financial institutions, hotel/restaurant combos and campgrounds and RV parks, $30 for all other local and home-based businesses, $35 for out-of-town businesses and $25 for non-profits and individuals.

Membership in the Chamber is a benefit not only to the entire Boundary County business community, but an investment in personal business. It gives access to the Internet through the Chamber website, www.bonnersferrychamber.com.

With membership, businesses are entitled to their own page they can set up to direct traffic to existing website or to create web presence, bringing information to potential customers world-wide who might be visiting Boundary County and be looking for just what is offered.

The page is managed by the business owner or a staff member at the Visitor's Center do it.

The Chamber also runs a weekly ad in the Bonners Ferry Herald, bringing more local attention to the Chamber and its members, holds monthly meetings to let business owners and leaders meet, greet and build the kind of synergy that benefits everyone in the business community, as well as hear from great guest speakers who talk on a variety of business-related topics.

The Chamber Visitor's Center meets and greets thousands of people each year, and those people often come in looking for the goods and services our local business community provides, and with membership, those who volunteer at the Center have the information at hand that they need to direct that person to the best place to go to get what they need, saving them hassle and run-around. In the event of such misfortune as a blown transmission or engine, that person might not be happy to have to stop here, but when the community, through the Chamber, works together to provide the friendly service and neighborliness Boundary County is famous for, even such a negative can be turned into a positive, and that person or family will go away with fond memories of a great town.

The chamber is typically the first place those looking to visit here or relocate here turn for information on our community, and the information the chamber provides includes information on the businesses of members with whom those people are likely to be doing business with.

The benefits are many, and while half off for a half year's membership isn't hurting the Chamber, it is your chance to dip your toe to test the water for six months, just to see how you like the feel.

To take advantage of this investment opportunity, call Brittany Kersavage at (208) 267-5922, or visit the Chamber website, www.bonnersferrychamber.com.
