She was born in Santa Cruz, Calif., in 1929. Jerri became a Christian at an early age and was teaching Sunday school classes as a young teenage girl. Jerri shared and lived out her faith with everyone she met.
Jerri married Robert “Doug” Gwin in 1954 and they raised a daughter and a son.
Jerri’s “treasures on earth” were her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also treasured her many friends in Christ, especially those at the Dalton Garden and Bonners Ferry churches of Christ.
Nancy Callis was a very special friend who spent many hours in Bible study and prayer with Jerri.
She is survived by her loving husband Robert D. Gwin of Coeur ‘dAlene, Idaho; daughter Cathy Litterell of Bonners Ferry, Idahol son Gary Gwin of Red Desert, Wyo.; six grandsons; one granddaughter and 16 great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by a very special friend, Connie DiMartino of Florida. They corresponded by “snail mail” for more than 50 years.
In her younger years, she was on a performance skate team. She later enjoyed league bowling, sailing their sailboat, cake decorating, oil painting, sewing, traveling, camping and always the seashore. Her very favorite times were the family gatherings. Until the last 10 years, she spent much of her life teaching Bible classes. She will be remembered as a prayer warrior and one who encouraged others.
To honor Jerri’s desire to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the family request that no flowers be sent.
