Fundraisers planned for victims of fire

On March 5, Theresa Norton and husband Jerry Lockman lost most of their possessions and several pets when a fire destroyed their rental home in Bonners Ferry.

Fortunately none of the family members were home at the time. Jerry is disabled and they have ficw teenage children living at home.

Theresa works as a seasonal bus driver for Schweitzer Mt. Resort. Currently there are three fund raisers under way to help the family.

The public can help by:

Donating non-perishable foods. Collection boxes are available on all Schweitzer buses through April 10.

Donating to the Burn Relief Fund for Theresa Norton at Potlatch No. 1 Credit Union on Hwy 95 in Sandpoint.

Also, Pizza Hut is donating 20 percent of all sales to the family from 4 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, April 5.

The family is very appreciative and grateful to the community for their support during this difficult time.
