Former assistant Boundary County Prosecutor Sarah Hallock-Jayne has joined the Wilson Law Firm in Bonners Ferry.

Timothy Wilson said he saw the way Hallock-Jayne performed in court and was impressed with her.  He approached her to work with him in his law firm.

“She is one of the strongest attorneys in this area and is a windfall for us,” said Wilson.

Hallock-Jayne really enjoyed her work at the prosecutors office, but said there are other ways to help people.  She said  helping the elderly legally put into to words what they wish to happen after they pass away is a service and she is looking forward to being able to help with.

“I am looking forward to continue to help people, but in a different way,” she said.

Hallock-Jayne said the staff at Wilson’s office has been wonderful and her and Wilson have known each other for a time and work well together.

“I really tried to immerse myself in learning the civil side of things, learning wills, estates and what is best for the kids in child custody cases,” said Hallock-Jayne. “Tim is fantastic and we just work really well together and have great communication.”

Hallock-Jayne will be working on civil cases and mediate in child custody hearings.  She will also do wills and guardianships.

She can be reached at the Wilson Law Firm at 267-1777.
