Memorial Day events

The American Legion Boundary Post 55 will place flags on all the Veterans graves at Grandview Cemetery at 5p.m., Friday, May 27. 

The public is invited to come and helpThis is a moving time for those who help, particularly the youth who come to assist. It provides an important lesson to the young people of the sacrifices of the country’s deceased veterans.

The American Legion would like to remind the community that the Annual Memorial Day parade and services at Grandview Cemetery will take place this year on Monday, May 30. 

The parade will begin promptly at 10 a.m. from the Boundary County Fairgrounds. All parade participants are asked to be at the Fairgrounds at 9:30 a.m. to help stage the parade. 

The services at Grandview will begin after the parade, as soon as all participants can get to the cemetery. 

This years guest speaker is Sergeant First Class Larrence R. Jefferson. Jefferson is a combat veteran who was wounded in action in Afghanistan.
