Lois I. Wells

Lois I. Wells was born April 1, 1925, in Colgan, N. D. to Harold and Corella Levig.

Lois passed away Oct. 30, 2011, at Kootenai Medical Center.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m., Friday, Nov. 4, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Bonners Ferry.  Final resting place will be at Grandview Cemetery in Bonners Ferry.

Lois married Ted Dickerson on May 8, 1942, in Provo, Utah. From this union two sons were born, William "Bill" and Tom Dickerson. Lois and Ted were divorced July 31, 1962.

 On Dec. 24, 1963, she married Edgar Wells in Bonners Ferry. Many summers were spent fishing in Alaska after Edgar retired.

Her other special interests were reading, crocheting, knitting, playing cards and hunting. In order to fill her days, Lois attended the senior center in Bonners, helping in whatever way she could, helping with set up for lunch, cleaning up and greetingpeople as they came.

After lunch was over, then the card games began. She  did so enjoy the company and her many friends. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.

Lois lived in Bonners Ferry most of her life until she moved to Hayden, residing at By The Lakes Assisted Living since 2008.

Survivors include: A brother, Leslie H. Levig of Bonners Ferry; sisters Dorothy Mincher of Talkeetna, Alaska; Lenora "Toots" Rudman of Paupack, Penn.; sons William "Bill" and Tom Dickerson; four stepchildren, Donald Wells, Wanda "Toby" Wise, Melvin "Rusty" Wells, Barbara Wells; 15 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents, first husband Ted Dickerson in1976 and second husband Edgar Wells in 1998.
