Running to see projects completed
I am running for the office of Bonners Ferry city councilman. My name will be on the ballot.
Between the time I filed my petition of candidacy and the election, my wife and I the made the decision to move to a new residence. That new residence is outside of the city limits. I have not yet purchased the property and won’t until my present residence sells.
I don’t know how long that will take but considering the real estate market, might take a while.
I felt out of proper respect to my supporters to be honest about my future plans. I do not want anyone voting for me with the expectation that I will serve the four-year term. I will be disqualified from serving as soon as I sell and purchase my new residence.
Having cleared the air on all of the above, I now address the pending election. I have enjoyed being your councilman and will continue to serve you faithfully. There are many projects in process that I would like to see completed.
In reviewing the slate of candidates, I am concerned. Connie Wells, incumbent councilman (councilwoman), is qualified and experienced. She is a very good choice. Sadly I believe I am the next best choice even though I will not be able to complete my term. If you agree, cast your vote for Chris Clark for councilman. I will serve you faithfully for as long as I am legally able.
Chris Clark
