The Pearl Theater will have a gala grand opening with the presentation of “No Cure for Love” premiering at 8 p.m., Friday, Oct. 21.

Carolyn Testa, owner of the newly renovated Pearl Theater, said to come an hour early for champagne and a red carpet photo opportunity.

“Champagne will be served to ticket holders an hour before every presentation, however the red carpet event only for the grand opening this Friday,” Testa said.

There is not a dress requirement but Testa said wear your pearls to The Pearl should you wish to dress up.  There will definitely be people dressed for the event.

The scene will be of a red carpet leading the way to the Pearl and a back drop with cameras flashing taking photos of the approaching audience as they arrive.  People will be interviewed and video taped much like the real red carpet premiers in Hollywood.

The play has two acts and was written and directed by Boundary County resident and artist Paul Rawlings. A play described by one of the cast members as an  eclectic, comedy, romance, musical with 25 local performers in the cast and local band, “We the Band” performing original songs.

The production will have five additional performances which will be Saturday, Oct. 22 and 3 p.m., Sunday Oct. 23.  There will be an early show at 7 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 27, then again at 8 p.m., Friday, Oct. 28 and Saturday, Oct. 29.

Tickets are $12 general admission and $10 for seniors 60 and over. Tickets can be purchased at Bonners Books, Under the Sun, The Groove Studio and Mountain Mike’s.

There are deals offered by local merchants printed on tickets, so keep the stub.
