Michael Lewis Roth

| September 22, 2011 6:33 AM

Michael Lewis Roth was taken home to heaven on Sept. 13 to be with his Lord.

Michael was loved by everyone who knew him, and will be greatly missed.

He was somewhat of a icon around Bonners Ferry, riding his bicycle around town, usually pulling his bike trailer, often loaded up with things he had salvaged here and there.

Michael loved people and always wanted to help. If you had a flat tire and Michael was close by he would offer to change it for you or take it to the tire shop to be repaired.  If you needed your lawn mowed Michael would do it if he could, and wanted no more than a diet soda in return, if you had one.

Michael’s life was short, compared to most, but meaningful by any standard.  He loved people, and they loved him.

He is survived by his father, Cole Roth; stepmother Patty Roth, his mother Joy Roth and three brothers and a sister in-law.

His foster parents, Bob and Laurel Martin of Naples, raised Michael from age 11.

Michael professed his love for Jesus at a very young age and lived his life accordingly as best he could.

He will be remembered and his life celebrated at 2 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 1, at  Mountain Springs Church in Bonners Ferry.
