Badger varsity soccer girls 5-2 in league

The Badgers faced Priest River on Saturday and continued their success with another league win. The Badgers are now 6-2 in league play, placing them second in the league.

Even though it was a rough start against Priest River, the Badgers came out on top with a 5-1 victory.

The one and only goal in the first half was a own goal by Priest River. In the second half, the Badgers came out to win.

The second goal of the game came from junior Liz Racer off an assist by Jocelyn Palacios.

Racer came up big with two more goals, one assist came from senior Amanda Riley. The last and final goal came from Natasha Litterell off a corner kick.

“The girls are really working together to find the back of the net and the defense is so solid that it creates a lot of opportunities up front. I am really happy with all the hard work by the girls and the progress we are showing in our technical skills,” said coach Erin Delude.

The Badgers play at 11 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 1,  against St. Maries in St.Maries.
