Kids get a kick out of Easter egg hunts
The annual Lion’s Easter Egg Hunt had about 100 kids show up for Easter egg picking.
The Egg hunt started at 11a.m. and it was over at 11:05.
The age categories went from baby, toddler to 10-years-old and hundreds upon hundreds of dyed Easter eggs were found and carried off by hungry and very excited little ones.
This is the 52nd year the Lions have pulled this off in Boners Ferry at the Fairgrounds the day before Easter.
So many community members, Lion’s Club Members and their wives help with the gathering, dying and hiding of the eggs for the children of the community.
Even the Easter bun ny made his/her fourth appearance this year.
The Curley Ques Homemakers Club held a Easter egg hunt that was as fun as the Curely Que’s name, along with the 4-H group of Rona Fields on Saturday.
The hunt was at the old Evergreen School and started at 10 a.m. and ended at 10:03 a.m., according to Curely Que member Jeannie Borer.
“We had about 25 toddlers 1-5-years-old, 25 6- 9-year-olds, and about a dozen 10 to 12-year-olds,” said Borer.
There is a basket winner from each age category and all the kids get money eggs with either $1.50, .25., etc.
It was a fun time held buy all who attended, according to Borer.
