MarieJoy Becquart (Obermayer), 74

MarieJoy Becquart (Obermayer), 74, passed away at her home in Moyie Springs, Idaho, on April 11, 2012.

There will be a celebration of life for MarieJoy at the Yaak campground on Saturday, April 28, in the early afternoon. All are welcome.

MarieJoy was born on Jan. 10, 1938, in Troy, Mont., to Roland and Mollie (Starr) Obermayer. She attended school in the upper Yaak and Troy. After high school, she met and married the love of her life, Tommie Lee Becquart. They shared 54 loving years together. Tom preceded her in death Sept. 11, 2010.

Survivors include daughter, Sheri Pickford and husband Scott of Moyie Springs; daughter Rhonna Russell and husband, Bob of Bonners Ferry; brother Bill Obermayer and wife Karen of Kalispell Mont.; sister Candie Foust and husband Randy Buckner of Libby, Mont.; grandsons, Brandon Bourland of Moyie Springs and Kyle Bourland of Green River, Wyo., and great grandson, Laine Bourland of Bonners Ferry.

MarieJoy enjoyed the simple joys of life. She loved to camp and cook and being Tom’s wife. MarieJoy and Tom loved to travel to new places and meet new people. They spent the last six years traveling to Arizona where they looked forward to meeting up with their friends.

MarieJoy was an outstanding cook who took very good care of her husband and family over the years. She was a beautiful woman, being very strong through her illness. Her family will miss her very much, as will her friends.
