Wayne W. 'JJ' Williams

| April 19, 2012 11:38 AM

On April 7, 2012, the light in our lives got a little dimmer as we experienced the loss of our dedicated and loving husband, loving father, soft-hearted grandpa, caring brother and son-in-law, and true life-long friend. Wayne W. “JJ” Williams rode out of our lives doing what he loved — riding his motorcycle with the love of his life and soul mate, Kelli.

A potluck memorial service will be held Saturday, April 21, 2012, at 1 p.m. at the Northwoods Tavern in Naples, Idaho.

Wayne was born in Wurzburg, Germany, on April 11, 1960, to Darius and Margot Williams. They moved to Sandpoint, Idaho, in the early 1960s, where his parents later divorced. He spent his childhood getting into mischief with his brother, James, and their rowdy crowd. Of course, he always made time to pester his little sister, Shanna.

Wayne went to work for Burlington Northern Railroad in 1978 and continued to work there until his death.

In the fall of 1989, Wayne met Kelli Adkins while working in Libby, Mont. They were soul mates from the start and were married on April 17, 1993. Together they raised their three children, Jake, Bobbi and Bret.

Wayne was adored by his granddaughters. Lexie truly loved it when she picked the fall apples with her “cranpa” and he would give her kisses and tickle her with his “mushmash.” Kamilee was grandpa’s “right-hand girl” when it came to emptying the jelly belly jar. Samantha was his “right beside ya” partner when it came to meat grinding.

Wayne lived his life to the fullest and he has a special place in the hearts of all who knew him.

He leaves behind his wife, Kelli; their three children, Jake “Irish” Williams of Sandpoint, Bobbie (Scott) Wells of Bonners Ferry, and Bret (Linda) Young of Germany; his three granddaughters, Samantha, Lexie and Kamilee; his brother, James (Shawna) Williams of Lewistown, Mont.; nephews, Michael and Shane Williams; a sister, Shanna (Aaron) McNall of Sandpoint; a niece, Madison McNall; a sister, Yvonne (Bryan) Kriger, and their three children; and his father, Darius (Bernita) Williams and their children.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Margot Becker Jay; and his granddaughter, Kaitlyn Lee Price-Williams.

Your family loves you and miss you. Now you are free to “enjoy the ride” until we see you again.
