The Pearl to host open mic night, jam on Friday

| April 26, 2012 7:54 AM

Grab that guitar, or drums, or fiddle, warm up that voice, go over that poem, story, or comedy act and head to the Pearl Theater.

The Pearl opens its doors at 6 p.m. and the fun starts at 7 p.m., Friday, April 27.

The Performer's Circle is a circle of performers sitting in a circle and informally, one by one  introduce themselves and their song, poem, story or comedy act.

Many performers invite the whole group to join in and no one just ever knows what is going to happen in these open jam sessions.

Most everything is done acoustically but anyone needing  small amp bring can it  along.

A tuned piano is available. If an entire band is coming and wants to perform on stage they are welcome as well. People doing this should come early at 6 p.m. to set up.

Audience sits at tables around the performers' circle.

The Cafe at the Pearl is open at 6 p.m. for  two buck chuck night.

This is when the pizza, snacks, beer, wine can be bought for $2 each.

Performers entry is free and non-performers pay $5 at the door.

The Pearl Theater is located in Bonners Ferry south of the casino. Turn east off of Highway 95 on Ash and watch for the steeple.
