Christopher David Jacobson, 36

Christopher David Jacobson, 36, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2012, at Kootenai Medical Center after a hard fought battle with endocarditis for the past year.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 18, 2012, at the Lakeview Funeral Home in Sandpoint with burial to follow in the Pack River Cemetery.

Chris was born on Sept. 25, 1975, in Sandpoint, Idaho, to David and Lynn Jacobson. He grew up and attended schools in Sandpoint and Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.

As a child he had a love of heavy equipment and machinery, read operating manuals and had a photographic memory when it came to equipment. He went on to run all kinds of machinery in North Idaho and Washington.

He loved the outdoors; enjoyed shooting, riding ATVs, hunting, and camping.

He is survived by his father, David (Terry) Jacobson of Bonners Ferry, Idaho; his mother, Lynn Fitzpatrick of Coeur d’Alene; a brother, Paul Jacobson of Coeur d’Alene; his grandparents, Jerry and Charlene Fitzpatrick of Sandpoint; an aunt, Cherry (Mike) Lane of Sandpoint; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; he is also survived by his dog, “Maddie.”

The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff, doctors and nurses at Kootenai Medical Center for their wonderful care of Chris.
