Phyllis Raye Thomas, 70

After 70 years, Phyllis Raye Thomas, completed her life’s journey on Tuesday July 31, 2012 in Bonners Ferry, Idaho.

Services will be held on Sept. 8 at Buena Vista Cemetery in Murphys, Calif.

She was born in Murphys, Calif., on May 27, 1942, the daughter of Mizpah and Wes Thomas.

She attended Hazel Fischer School and Bret Harte High School.

With a contagious laugh that would fill up a room, Phyllis had an incredible blend of style, toughness and loving tenderness that will never be matched.

Filled with compassion and interest in others, Phyllis made friends easily and maintained contact with many.

Her signature gift of joy, shown through her constant smiling, laughter, and joking around, will never be forgotten.

She enjoyed gardening and spending time with family friends and her many pets.

The great memories Phyllis has provided will sustain her family as they celebrate her life for many years to come.

She will always be in their thoughts and forever in their hearts.

Those we love don’t go away. They walk beside us everyday.

Unseen, unheard, but always near. Still loved, still missed and very dear.

She is survived by her children Rebecca Yates, of Dania Beach, Florida; Jim Eaves, of Arnold, Calif., Deborah Eaves, of Yuma, Ariz., Kenneth Thomas of Bonners Ferry, Idaho, and Mizpah Thomas of Woodland Park, Colo.

She also survived by her brother Tom Thomas, of Bonners Ferry and many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
