LIBBY – The Libby boys’ basketball team got its season under way in thrilling fashion Tuesday evening.

Will Reichel hit the second of two free throws with less than a second left to lift the Northwestern A Loggers to a 41-40 come-from-behind victory over Bonners Ferry, Idaho.

Libby (1-0), which trailed 32-28 at the start of the fourth quarter, pulled even at 40-40 on a 3-pointer by junior guard Jared Winslow.

Bonners Ferry missed a potential game-winning bucket in the waning moments and Reichel was fouled while corralling the rebound with half a second on the scoreboard.

Reichel missed his first attempt before draining the next.

Winslow led the Loggers with 12 points, while senior wing Barak Lapka and senior post Kraig Nelson scored 10 apiece for Libby.
