The Badger boys varsity basketball players were on a winning streak last week when they won both away games at Clark Fork and Newport.

The Badgers defeated the Clark Fork Wampus Cats 59-32 on Dec. 6. The Badgers were frantic on the offense in the first half of the game but played better in the last half.

“Everyone on the bench played well,” said coach Clint Arthur. “Defense did good.”

Clark Fork played six players and had a hard time keeping up with the Badgers.

Scoring was led by Isaac Price, Josh Pluid and Evan Moe, all with nine points.

The Badger’s game kept improving when they played Newport on Dec. 8 and finished with a final score of 49-26. The team had a 27-3 lead by half-time.

“This by far was the most complete game all year,” said coach Arthur.

“We defensively looked great and offensively moved well.”

The Badgers shot more free throws this game than any other game so far. Scoring was led by Ryan Farrens with 12 points.
