Don Barton

Don Barton passed away on Jan.  28, at the age of 73 in Yuma, Ariz.

He was born on Feb. 15, 1938, in Camridge, Idaho. 

A memorial and celebration of his life is being planned for a later date.

He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and most of all riding his quad in the desert. 

Before retirement he worked at Safeway and also he worked for the school district as custodian at Evergreen School. He often talked about the enjoyment he got out of being with the children.

He was an Eagle member for many years. He was the camp host at the Yaak River Campground for four years where he met and made many friends.

He leaves behind his wife Judy, his brother Jim (Betty) Barton, his sister Sharon (Don) Dirks. He also leaves behind his children, son Ken (Neli) Barton, daughter Shelly (Larry) Steckman, grandchildren, Jacob, Danielle (Austin) Springer, Amelia, Natalie, and Kenny. And he leaves great grandson Jaxon. Extended family and many friends. He also leaves behind his beloved dog "Ms. Bear," his quad riding partner.
