Bonners Ferry High School wrestlers win B cup

The Badgers bring home the B cup Thursday by beating Sandpoint 60-27.
This is the second year in a row the Bonners Ferry Badger wrestlers bring home the B cup.
The B cup has been around since 1986 and travels to the school that wins that years dual meet.
Sandpoint holds the edge on the B cup 78-9.
Badger head coach Conrad Garner said he was pleased with the way his team wrestled overall.
“The drills we’ve been practicing, they did them tonight,” said Garner. “We were pretty vicious on the half nelsons.”
Varsity Badgers had pins from David Chapman at 126 pounds, Parker Davis at 138 pounds, Zack Wilson at 145 pounds Anthony Skeen at 152 pounds Quinn Cummings at 160 pounds Zack Heigle at 170 pounds and Carmen Krichbaum at 195 pounds.
The evening started out with 13 junior varsity matches.
Junior varsity Badgers who won by pins were Aaron Klaus at 145 pounds, Tyson Boorman at 138 pounds, two pins were made by Mark Grow at a 152 pounds. Also with pins were Mike Brown at 195 pounds, Shane Miller at 145 pounds. Devin Schalk plus 14-5 win for Matt Tucker at 126 pounds.
Many fans from both Bonners and Sandpoint attending the exciting matches. Go Badgers.
The Badgers travel to Missoula for the Rockey Mountain Classic to be held Friday, Jan. 13 and Saturday, Jan. 14.
