BONNERS FERRY — Bonners Ferry FFA and FFA Alumni Chapter are hosting a one-day Agriculture Festival on Saturday, July 28.

The event, which takes place at the Boundary County Fairgrounds, kicks off at 7 a.m. with a ranch-style breakfast.

The breakfast, which lasts until 10 a.m., is $5 per person, with the exception of seniors age 70 and older and children 5 and under, who eat for free.

Festivities include a softball game at 10:30 a.m. between current FFA members and alumni.

A beer garden will be open from 1 to 10 p.m., while the Farmers’ Barbecue runs from 5 to 7:30 p.m. The price and rules for the barbecue are the same as the breakfast.

A country dance with music by the Monarch Mountain Band takes place from 7:30 to 10 p.m. Cost is $5 per person.

You can save money by purchasing an all-day meal and dance pass for $15 for individuals or $40 for families. The pass also includes a raffle ticket.

The festival also will include a bake sale, many door prizes, local supporting vendor’s booths, demonstrations and displays all day.

Raffle drawings will be at 9 p.m. Raffle items include two 50-pound meat bundles and one ton of hay. Tickets are $4 each or six for $20. Tickets will be available at select locations.
