Breneman family thanks community

| July 20, 2012 9:00 AM

To the Bonners Ferry community, Bonners Ferry Rotary club members and the men and women of the U.S. Customs and U.S. Border Patrol serving in Boundary County:

Our family would like to personally thank the wonderful participants of the special Flag Football fundraising event recently coordinated by the Bonners Ferry Rotary Club.

Because of the outpouring of love and acceptance that was demonstrated by the men and women of the U.S. Customs and U.S. Border Patrol (thank you James Solum) and the generous contributions of the general community, our youngest son, Aiden, is now the proud new owner of a beautiful, blue Rifton Adaptive Tricycle, and we’re all blessed beyond words. Aiden is now able to happily engage in a fun, outdoor activity, and his therapists are enthusiastic about all of the great health benefits that accompany this new bike.

We would also like to extend our thanks to the members of the Bonners Ferry Rotary Club, and the High School football coaches and volunteers for their part in making this benefit game such a super success. We truly appreciate your time and efforts on our family’s behalf. Thank you, also, to the Bee Fit Studio for your energetic half-time show.

Finally, a special, heartfelt thank you to young Pacen Pluid (12), who donated his $300 cash win from the 50/50 drawing towards a wheelchair ramp we would like to build at our home this summer.

What a tremendous surprise and heartwarming gesture. Your demonstration of sacrificial giving spoke loudly to all who witnessed it, and have since heard us tell of it. Pacen, may the Lord bless you for your thoughtful generosity, it will long be remembered.

With gratitude and appreciation to all who participated.
