New pastor joins church

| July 20, 2012 9:00 AM

Bonners Ferry United Methodist Church joyfully welcomed Pastor Karen Davison and her husband Bill to their church family Sunday, July 8.

This was Pastor Karen’s first Sunday behind the pulpit and the congregation was treated to a heart-felt, and sometimes humorous sermon as well as Pastor Karen’s beautiful singing voice accompanying the praise band.

The morning worship was followed by a good old-fashioned potluck.

Most recently, Pastor Karen and Bill lived in Oroville, Wash., where Karen was pastor for the Oroville United Methodist Church.

Both look forward to serving the community in their new home. Pastor Karen will jump right into things this week with children’s vacation Bible school, sponsored by the Church of the Nazarene, Trinity Lutheran and the United Methodist Church.

She is also eager to get to know folks in the community and visiting those who are shut-in and unable to attend church services.

The United Methodist Church would like to invite everyone to join them in further welcoming Pastor Karen and Bill as they settle into life in Bonners Ferry.

Morning worship at the United Methodist Church is held each Sunday at 10:30.
