BONNERS FERRY — A bomb threat cleared the halls of Bonners Ferry High School Tuesday morning.
The call came in to the Boundary County Sheriff’s Office at 10 a.m. as BFHS seniors spent their last school day taking final tests.
The school was evacuated and placed on lock down as law enforcement officers and firefighters searched the building. It was originally reported officials had closed Highway 95 but that was a false statement.
Explosives were not found, but students were sent home early as emergency responders secured the building.
School was back in session at its normal time on Wednesday.
Seniors may have to return to BFHS to make up missing class.
The identity of the caller is under investigation.
