Mutt Strutt…..A Tail Waggin' Good Time

On Memorial Weekend 50 people along with their dogs enjoyed a dog gone great party.  It kicked off with a 5K fun run.  Congratulations to Louis Balcaen who came in first in the youth category and Donna Strangio, first in the adult category.

Today was extra special for Donna as she ran with her sons dog Nesler.  Her son is on a tour of duty in Afghanistan, what a better way to honor him than to come across the finish line with his precious golden retriever.   After the run everyone enjoyed participating in the best dressed, best trick and dog that looks most like his human contest.

A special thank you goes out to the Ham Radio Club who had individuals along the course and kept a count of all the runners. We felt safe knowing you were there. Thank you to all our volunteers who made the day possible, we could not ask for a better group of people.

A huge special thank you to all our sponsors. They include: Kootenai River Inn, General Feed and Grain, Kootenai River Brewing Co., Boundary Abstract, Idaho Forest Group, JB’s Tire and Auto, Moore Chiropractic, The Pearl Theater Cafe, Edward Jones,

The Corn Man, Kootenai River Run, Liberty Gas Station, Mugsy’s, Bamboo Room and Crafts, Alley Fabric Nook, Under the Sun, Red Rooster Coffee, Three Mile Corner and Far North Outfitters.
