They Way We Worked to close

The Way We Work” Smithsonian Museum exhibit will close with a musical performance at The Pearl.

Five local artists are working together to bring a musical tribute to “The Way We Worked” with a wide variety of rollicking folk music, photographs, and comedy about various vocations.

The finale begins at the museum at 2 p.m., Saturday, June 23 and will end at the Pearl Theater at 3:30 p.m. with this musical tribute. Artists are Len Pine, Rhea Verbanic, Barb Nelson, Vicki and Jim Thompson.

Donations will be gathered at the door to cover costs.

The Cafe at the Pearl will be open at 2:30 p.m. with savory and sweet snacks, wine, beer, and other beverages.

Music includes a wide variety of folk music including favorites like “The Frozen Logger,” “Home on the Range,” and “Paddy Worked on the Railway.”

Guitar, autoharp, flute, piano, and vocals will be featured. Barb Nelson will also present her signature comedy routine “Ashvidity City” in this light hearted closure to “The Way We Worked.”
