Jackie Gaylin Williams, 81

Jackie Gaylin Williams, 81, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 18, 2012 at Selah Convalescent Care Center in Selah, Wash.

The family will make notification of services to be held at a later date.

Jackie was born July 11, 1930, in Rolston, Okla., to Andrew Jackson and Luvernia Gay Williams.

In 1935 he moved to Bellingham, Wash., and later to White Swan, Wash., in 1942 where he was involved in numerous FFA activities.

He married Dortha "Dottie" Tucker and together they celebrated 60 years of marriage.

He was a proud member of the Harrah Grace Church, where he was a song leader and was involved with the AWANA Youth Program. Later in 1984 he started the Christian School Auctions and came to retire from auctioneering in 2004 shortly after he moved to Bonners Ferry.

Jackie is survived by his wife, Dortha "Dottie" Williams; children, Tom Williams, Dan Williams, Bill Williams, Susan Ross and Cheryl Jepson; 11 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother Delphin "Blackie" N. Williams and sisters, Thelma McColley and Geraldine Schacht.

Arrangements are under the care of Merritt Funeral Home.
