| May 3, 2012 10:08 AM

The Pearl Theater is bringing our community an extravagant Mother's Day Tea.

There will be two sittings: one begins at 1 p.m. and the other at 4 p.m., Sunday, May 13.

This event is not just another tea. It is a gift for Mom.

All mothers and grandmothers receive a bouquet, a wrist corsage, and a beautiful remembrance card in which everyone in the party can write mom or grandma a special message. Each family or group will have its own reserved table at this elegant event.

There will be fancy hats and boas available for those who want to dress up. Photo opportunities will abound. Live piano music will be played by Barb Nelson throughout the tea.

Veronika Ward and will present a special half hour celebration of mothers in music, comedy and story.

High tea prepared by Pearl Cafe chef Barbara Robertson includes many extraordinary delectable delights, savory and sweet.

Champagne and other beverages will be available separately. This celebration is bound to become a unique Bonners Ferry Mother's Day tradition.

Veronika Ward most recently performed with great acclaim in the musical at Mountain Springs Church. She comes to Bonners Ferry via Nashville, Tenn., and California where she has hosted multiple high tea events.
