BONNERS FERRY — Bonners Ferry High School students returned to the school about 2 p.m. after a bomb threat turned out to be unfounded.

A janitor was told about 8:10 a.m. that “bomb 3:30” was found on a restroom wall, according to a Boundary County Sheriff’s Office press release.

Police and rescue authorities were notified.

Students and faculty were evacuated to Boundary County Middle School, but they returned to the school in mid-afternoon after it was searched by officers and dogs.
