Vonna Ella Throckmorton, 93

Vonna Ella (Coats) Throckmorton,93, entered into rest on March 28, 2013, at her home in Bonners Ferry, Idaho, with her son by her side.

She was born on June 25, 1919 in Byron, Wash., to Archibald Grover and Sadie Odessa (Hall) Coats. At three , she moved to the Rattlesnake Hills in Washington with her parents and three older brothers, Marvin, Leland and Dean, all deceased.

A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 3 at the Prosser Cemetery. Vonna went to a country school at Rattlesnake until the seventh grade when she went by bus to Prosser and graduated from Prosser High School in 1937.

Vonna married Claude Throckmorton on Dec. 17, 1938. After just over 58 happy years of marriage, Claude passed away on Dec. 23, 1996.

After living their last 15 years together in Connell, Wash., where Claude passed away, Vonna moved back to Prosser for five years. She then moved to Ione, Wash., to be with her adopted son, Christopher. Finally, Vonna and Christopher moved from Ione and settled in Bonners Ferry.

Besides Christopher, she leaves behind four grandchildren, Todd, Michael and his wife, Theresa; Richard and wife, Melissa and Cassandra; seven great-grandchildren, Jamie and husband, Jim, Nicholas and wife, Kayla, Steven, Alyssa, Kirsten, Jonathan and Timmy; two great-great-grandchildren, Ryker and Autumn; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband, Claude, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Marjorie French.

After a prayer with God, she will be laid to rest at the Prosser Cemetery with her never forgotten husband, Claude, who is waiting for her.
