Were calls ethical?

| April 19, 2013 9:00 AM

The week of the school election, the Herald ran a picture of students with vote yes signs who had “called nearly 1000 people” on the day of the election.

Whose phones were they using? What facilities, offices or rooms were they using? Who organized it? For those who will say they are “just calling to remind people of the election” – while they pose with vote yes signs- What list of people were they calling and where did they get that list?

Is the list open to the public? When did they have time to do the calling? What about their classes?

The lion’s share of the levy and the budget goes to citified staff and administrators, how about some answers?

The school board, administrators of the school district and the high School, should publicly answer all of these questions as well as explain how the schools and the students can be used to promote the school levy during school hours?

Does anyone care about ethics any more?
