Grange on verge of closure

| April 26, 2013 10:05 AM

P.V. Grange is the only grange in the gounty now. Without a grange (a grass roots organization) which means bills are written at your local grange and sent to the state.

We will not have a voice in agriculture, legislation or education or many other issues to numerous to motion.

In the past 30 years, I have asked a countless number of people to join. Here are some of the responses I’ve heard. I’m not a farmer, I don’t own land, I don’t live in Paradise Valley, plus many other reasons. I don’t live in Paradise Valley either and if you eat you are involved in agriculture. And we have never since I’ve been a member required anyone to be a farmer. Everyone is welcome in the grange.

If anyone is interested in keeping P.V. Grange open and having a voice in all local, county, state and national issues. Please plan to be at the next meeting May 4 at 10 a.m. and after the meeting we will have our usual potluck dinner.
