Pearl to feature play by local playwright Rawlings

| April 26, 2013 9:26 AM

The Pearl Theater is featuring an original play by Paul Rawlings in May.

“In My Secret Life” is a production which stars seven women, all seasoned actors and all long-time residents of Boundary County.

The play is composed of a series of interlocking monologues in which these several honest and forthright characters reveal much about their own vulnerability even as they draw out real human feelings in their audience.

Original music composed and performed by local barber and professional guitarist Drew Browne resonates beautifully with the poignant themes as the work develops.

Paul Rawlings has been associated with Community Theater in Bonners Ferry for almost 35 years. He has directed two dozen comedies, dramas, and musicals.

Performances will be on Friday, May 3 and 10 at 7:30 p.m.; Saturday, May 4 and 11 at 7:30 p.m.; and Thursday, May 9 at 7 p.m.

General admission tickets are $10 and Pearl Theater members tickets are $9. Tickets are available at Bonners Books and Mountain Mike’s, or by calling (208) 610-2846 for tickets by credit card and/or large quantity purchases.

The Pearl Café and Doors open one hour before each show.
