Busy summer for Iacolucci, headed to state

Spending his summer on the green paid off for Wyatt Iacolucci with a trip to state competition next week.

After turning 10, Iacolucci joined the Idaho Golf Association Juniors and traveled around District 4 competing against other boys in his age group.

Six tournaments between Bonners Ferry and Lewiston culminated in the District Championship tournament in Post Falls. Iacolucci clinched second place which earned him a spot at the two-day state competition in Boise on Aug. 5 and 6.

This is Iacolucci’s first year competing in tournament golf after playing golf for eight years. He is ranked fifth out of 25 boys in his age group in Idaho.

On June 11, Iacolucci hit a hole in one at Mirror Lake Golf Course during a practice round.
