Thomas Irvin Linke, 61
Thomas Irvin Linke, 61, passed away on July 23, 2013 at his home near Naples, Idaho. Private family arrngement are being held.
On July 23 2013, Thomas was suddenly taken from his family and friends.
He will be greatly missed by all that knew him and especially by his daughter.
Thomas was born on June 20,1952, to Edwin Irvin and Charlene (Weaver) Linke.
Through out his life he has had many adventures and made many friends along the way. Upon, graduating Medical Lake High school, he enlisted in United States Air Force in 1970.
Along his journeys he met a sweet girl by the name of Cindy Lou Chad burn while stationed at Holloman’s Air Force Base in Alamogordo, N.M., in summer 1972.
On April 7, 1973, they were married. On Dec. 11, 1973, a small bundle of joy was born, a baby girl Dawn, his only child. While in the service, Thomas was an aircraft maintance specialist, airplane mechanic.
He served in the Vietnam War with being honored with the metal of National defense, a Vietnam service honor and in 1974 an honorable discharge.
Thomas had many talents, such as being a soldier, welder/fabricator, mechanic, hunter, family provider, son, husband, father and friend.
Thomas enjoyed hunting, fishing, bow hunting, target shooting, and raising hell in the neighborhood.
One of his greatest joys was giving his daughter’s hand in marriage to a wonderful man, Mike Facha Jr in 1998.
In 2000 his first granddaughter was born, Courteney Leanne; in 2002 another granddaughter was born Hannah Rose, and finally a grandson Hunter Michael was born in 2005.
Thomas was very proud of his small family. He enjoyed getting the small things like homemade cards, pictures, homemade goodies and his favorite, the gun magazines from the grand kids.
He was also very proud of his horny wall, as he called it, a wall with the collection of horns from wildlife. Everyone who knew Tom, knew his love for guns and a cold beer.
Thomas lived a modest life with no power or water. He had one dog Buck and one cat, Kitty.
Thomas is survived by his mother, Charlene Linke of Boise; one sister, Angelina Wilson, Boise; wife Cindy of 40 years (Hurricane, Utah,) daughter Dawn and son-in-law, Mike Facha Jr and three grandchildren, Courteney, Hannah and Hunter, all of Bonners Ferry, Idaho.
I love you Dad to the moon and back, now it is time to go rest high on that mountain!
