Badgers defeated in first home game

| December 13, 2013 8:00 AM

In their first home game on Tuesday, Dec. 10, the Badgers couldn’t keep up with Lake City JV’s shooting, who won 61-40.

Lake City pulled away in the second half, led by the long range shooting of Brandon Dotson, who hit four second half three-pointers and finished the game with 17 points.

Cameron Woods led Bonners Ferry with 14 points but cold shooting (13-48) doomed the Badgers in their first home game said Coach Brian Woods. The Badgers fell to 1-2 for the year.

“We had trouble scoring the ball against their zone,” said Coach Woods. “It is something we need to work on in practice this week. We also need to pick up our defensive intensity a bit. They were big and long and athletic but we competed and we learned some things, which is what it is all about early in the season.”
