Wrestlers send large group to state this weekend

Bonners Ferry Badger wrestlers captured Districts by 1.5 points over Timberlake. Bonners Ferry took 16 wrestlers to Districts and came home with six first place awards, two seconds, four thirds and two fourths. Twelve wrestlers will go to State on Feb. 22 and 23 in Pocatello.

First-place winners were Blaine Invernon at 138, Anthony Skeen at 152, Quinn Cummings at 160, Carman Krichbaum at 195, William Gaspar at 220 and Morris/Dale McAllister 285.

Second place winners were Aaron Smith at 98 and Jonathan Gaspar at 285. Third place winners were Jaeger Schnuerle at 113, Chase Erickson at 120, Parker Davis at 145 and Josh Miller at 152.

Badger wrestling coaches are Conrad Garner, Eddy Invernon, Steve Boorman and Rex Koehler.
