She then was cared for by her grandparents Sam and Emma Vinion and Mary and Ed Vold, her mother’s sister until she was 8 years old when F. E. married Lucille. She resided in Bonners Ferry, Idaho the majority of her life. She graduated in 1949 as valedictorian from Bonners Ferry High School. While in high school she became Mr. Harold McNalley’s executive secretary at First National Bank.

She married the love of her life Jack Hummel in January 1954. They moved to Minneapolis until Jack was honorably discharged from the Air Force. While in Minneapolis she worked at the Metropolitan Art Museum. They returned to Bonners Ferry in 1955 where they both worked at the First National Bank until they purchased Southside Tractor, the Case Implement Dealership. They built the new location for the business on the South Hill in the early 1960s. Faye also purchased the Boundary County Credit Bureau around the same time and operated it from the same location. Faye was very active in the community being a member of the Bonners Ferry Chamber of Commerce, community choir and active with church friends.

In 1970 she lost Jack in a truck accident. She continued to operate the businesses on her own for a few years. In 1973 she married Fred Pinson. Shortly thereafter they sold the businesses and moved to Porthill, Idaho. She enjoyed taking care of the farm animals and raising a large garden.

In 1988 they moved to Sequim, Wash. She worked in the trucking business - Model T Express with Fred. She loved living on the Washington coast and treasured the daily trips to the beach with her father who she cared for at the time. She loved to take her grandchildren when they visited to pick up sea shells.

In 1998 she moved back to Rathdrum, Idaho, to be closer to family. By this time dementia started to take her away. She still was able to enjoy family events and camp outs. She continued to live in the Rathdrum/Post Falls area until 2011 when she moved to Lifecare Center of Lewiston to be closer to her son, Gary. One week ago she had moved to Lifecare Center of Ritzville to be close to her son, Duane.

Her eyes always lit up for her grandchildren, even at the last.
