Levy needs support to pay for education

Once again it is time to authorize funds just to keep basic services for the school district. My kids did well in this system and have moved away.

They are doing well, thanks in part to the education that many good teachers here gave them. But I am not writing to brag about my kids — I am pointing out that voting yes to meet the district’s financial needs does not benefit me directly.

Or does it? I will vote yes because I strongly believe in the value of good public education. I know that not only are the pupils better off, but ultimately a well run school system is part of what attracts employers, families, and opportunities for the overall community.

It has been a tough few years here, but we as a community are coming through. Please, lets pull together on this and vote YES.
