Wilson Delta Kappa Student of Month
What an amazing young woman this month’s Delta Kappa Gamma Women Educators’ student of the month is Brook Wilson.
A junior at Bonners Ferry High School, Wilson is talented, charming, academically successful, and very busy person.
Her many activities include performing in the drama presentations in which she sings, dances, and acts.
She has been a dance student for several years and enjoys ballet, jazz, and modern dance.
Her talents also include playing the violin, drawing sketches, and writing both fiction and poetry. With these many abilities and talents she is a participant in the Distinguished Young Woman competition.
Brook is a member of honor choir, summer theater, National Honor Society and Foreign Language Society.
She is enrolled in the dual enrollment program with NIC where she takes biology and Spanish 3.
Wilson has a 4.0 grade point and especially enjoys her math and English classes. She said she has some very good teachers and that school is fun.
Brook has future ambitions that involve both math and dance, although she is not sure just how this combination will work out as a career. She plans to attend college and is looking at different schools this year.
She attributes her educational success and talent development to the support and guidance she receives from her parents, Shannon Earle and Bruce Wilson.
