Dean L. Hiatt

Dean L. Hiatt passed away March 14, 2013, from a massive stroke. As per his request no services will be held.

Dean was born June 25th, 1931, in Akron, Colo., to Louise Music and Lennie Hiatt. Dean and his wife, Vi, built the Selkirk Elk Ranch on Hwy 95 north of Bonners Ferry in 1996. They sold the ranch nine years ago but didn’t retire. He continued to raise cattle and hay.

He is survived by wife Vi; son Lennie (Cheryl) Hiatt of Longview, Wash., and daughter, Carol Dry (John); five grandchildren and four stepsons, Lonnie, Lennie, Lee and Burle.
