Little Leagues scores big
The Bonners Ferry Yankees Little League team improved its record to 4-0 with a sweep of the Coeur d’Alene Rangers on Saturday at Croffoot Park in Hayden Lake.

The Yankees shut the door early on the Rangers scoring 11 runs in the first three innings. Anthony Bennett went the distance on the rubber, who allowed one earned run, walked two, and struck out seven during his five innings of work.
Mic Skeen went 3-5 with four RBI’s and three runs scored. Brady Bateman and Trey Flint each went 3-5 with three RBI’s for the Yankees.

Tyrone Larson and Seth Bateman teamed up to pitch a perfect game against the Rangers. Larson held the Rangers hitless over four innings, allowed no runs, walked none and struck out 10.
Seth Bateman pitched the final inning striking out the side to end the game.
The Yankee pitchers struck out 13 out of the 15 batters that came to the plate.
