Do you know this Boundary Co. citizen?
Your Boundary County Historical Society and Museum, 7229 Main, Bonners Ferry, Idaho, sponsors this column.
During the winter, the Museum is open on Friday and Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Summer hours will begin in May.
This week’s picture is of a local man, who we are told, has many relatives still living here. Do you recognize him? What plant is he looking at? What is its importance to our community?
If you know the answer, all or part, please email doyouremember@meadowcrk.com by Sunday evening. Include your answer, name, and telephone number, in case we have questions.
If you want to remain anonymous, just let us know.
Last week’s photo, the museum assumes was from the Kootenai River Days raft race. No one told us who the young men were, so it will remain another mystery to be solved. We did hear from one lady who told us about the time they were in the race and as they neared the finish line, the announcer stated the women’s trophy was still available. They pushed all the men off of their raft, crossed the finish line with only women and took home the trophy!
The Kootenai Tribe’s new exhibit has been officially dedicated. Thank you to all who attended and to the tribal members who made donations to the exhibit. It was great to see you!
Come on down and see what is happening at the museum. Things are always changing. See you soon!
