Badger tracksters bring home medals from State Meet
The Badger track team traveled to Middleton High School on May 17 and 18 and brought home a few medals to culminate their spring season.
The first day of competition brought a third place bronze to Lily York and a fifth-place medal to Kendra Urbaniak in the pole vault at 8’6”.
Kyler Rice then grabbed a second-place silver in the high jump at 5’10” and brother Kody took the sixth-place medal in the triple jump with a new personal best of 42’2”.
On the running end of things, Luke Reoch and Collin Cossairt went seventh and eighth in the 1600 in times of 4:47.45 and 4:47.48. Courtney Tucker was seventh in the 400 in a time of 1:03.88. Mackenzie Mendenhall was seventh in the 300 hurdles at 49.25.
Kyler Rice was also seventh in the 300 hurdles at 43.78.
The girls 4 x 400 relay team of Anika Blackmore, Lily York, Allyson Merrifield, and Mackenzie Mendenhall were seventh in a time of 4:26.26.
The 4 x 200 team of Mackenzie Mendenhall, Anika Blackmore, Lily York, and Courtney Tucker were fifth in a time of 1:51.79.
The 4 x 100 relay team of Mackenzie Mendenhall, Gabby Munson, Anika Blackmore, and Courtney Tucker were fifth in a time of 52.98.
The coaching staff wants to thank all the parents and community members for their continued support of the athletes and track program.
