George Oscar Lang Jr., 66

George Oscar Lang Jr., 66, passed away on Sept. 28, 2013, at his sister’s home near Bonners Ferry, Idaho.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 4, 2013, at the Church of the Nazarene on Meadow Creek Road near Bonners Ferry. Interment will be in the Grandview Cemetery in Bonners Ferry. A potluck will be held following the services at the church.

George was born on June 13, 1947, in Wichita, Kan., to George Oscar Sr. and Celia Merl (Medearis) Lang. When he was 7 years old, the family moved to Santa, Calif. He finished his education and was a graduate from Bolsa Grande High School in Garden Grove, Calif., in 1965.

He joined the U.S. Air Force in 1965 and received an honorary discharge in 1969.

He then went to work for Bank of America from 1969 until 1983.

In 1985, he moved to Bonners Ferry, where he resided until his death.

He was very proud of completing a course in electronics with a diploma in 2001. George loved working on projects involving electronics. He leaves his sister, Carol Belden and husband Glenn; a nephew, Larry Belden and wife Kelly and their five children; and a great-great-niece, alsong with several friends, family and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a niece, Linda Belden.

The family suggests memorials be made to the Church of the Nazarene, 158 Meadow Creek Road, Bonners Ferry, Idaho 83805; or Auburn Crest Hospice 1596 W. Seltice Way, Post Falls, 83854.
