Nancy Kathleen (Roland) Bornemann

Nancy Kathleen Bornemann, nee Roland, passed away Sept. 15, 2013, at the home of her daughter in Grain Valley, Mo.

Nancy was born in Bonners Ferry, Idaho, on April 9, 1941, to R.J. (Bud) and Florence Snodgrass Roland. She graduated from Bonners Ferry High School in 1959.

She married Wayne Bornemann of Hazen, N.D., in 1959, and they made their home in Bonners Ferry, raising their daughters Willa, Karen, Janie, and Sheri.

Nancy worked for several years at local retail businesses, including the Pink Lion and Boundary Trading Company as floral manager. She loved gardening, painting, and sewing both clothing and quilts.

Nancy is survived by sister Nolda Gross of Moyie Springs, Idaho; brother R.C. Roland and wife Connie of Post Falls, Idaho; daughters Willa Robinson and husband Mike of Grain Valley, Mo.; Karen Pearcy and husband Dan of Newport, Wash.; Janie Early and husband Chris of Irrigon, Ore.; Sheri Wilson and husband Mike of Mountain Home, Idaho; grandchildren Russell Pearcy and wife Bryden of Silverdale, Wash.; Dale Pearcy of Olympia, Wash.; Madeline Robinson of Maryville, Mo.; Chase Robinson of Blue Springs, Mo.; and Liam Early of Irrigon; great-grandchildren McKenna Pearcy and Ashton Pearcy of Silverdale, Wash.; brothers-in-law Myron Bornemann and wife Yvonne of Pick City, N.D.; Layton Bornemann and wife Jolaine of Hazen, N.D.; sisters-in-law Naomi Sjogen of Valley Springs, Calif.; Gloria Kruckenburg and husband Gerald of Bismarck, N.D.; and Carla Malyska of Clinton, Mass.; and numerous beloved family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, R.J. (Bud) and Florence Roland, husband Wayne Bornemann, sister Sara Lou Gallagher, and brothers-in-law Lennis Gross and Gary Gallagher.

A celebration of Nancy’s life is tentatively scheduled for summer 2014.
